The Church rises and falls on leadership. Summit Institute Apprenticeship and Residency develops ministry leaders. We are committed to discipling leaders from all stages of life and various backgrounds and fostering their growth in knowledge, character, vision, and ministry skills. We desire to develop ministry leaders for the local church: men and women passionate about reaching this world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Summit Ministry Apprenticeship is a nine-month, 20 hours per week support raising position for men and women exploring a call to ministry. The program combines focused training, hands-on experience, and intentional mentorship to help participants grow in their leadership ability and clarify their calling. Upon completing the program, participants will possess valuable ministry experience, a meaningful relationship with Summit staff members, and a better understanding of their calling.
Summit Ministry Residency is a two-year, full-time (up to 35 hours per week) support raising position. No matter how God is calling you to serve the church, understanding the importance of training is your first step toward a lifetime of healthy and effective ministry. The residency is an intensive, two-year training experience that offers significant hands-on ministry experience, weekly training, and mentorship by seasoned church leaders.
“ Summit trusts you as an intern. You are not just running to get coffee or being trusted to set up the parking lot on Sunday... They teach you tools for ministry weekly, and you also have a space to apply all the knowledge you are receiving. ”
“ My favorite experience from the Summit Institute Apprenticeship is being surrounded by so many men and women that have stepped out in faith to pursue their calling in ministry. ”
